Making Time takes place on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month from 1.30 – 4pm. You don’t need to take along a craft – just enjoy a time of fellowship over a cup of tea. The session planned for Wednesday 23rd January has been postponed until Wednesday 30th January to enable people to attend the Prayer Unity Event, at the Sisters of Bethany.
This event, which focuses on Christians in politics, takes place 7.30pm – 10pm Saturday 26th January at City Life Church, Tangier Rd.
The Medina team is on duty Sunday 20 January. Just a reminder that this includes serving the refreshments, washing up, tidying the main hall, including chairs, Hoovering and locking up if necessary.
The Portsmouth Food Bank has currently run out of tinned tomatoes and tinned fruit so please help to boost these items.
Please speak to Mary Blatt, after the meeting, if you feel able to present a story at Family Celebration. Are you willing to take up this challenge?
Please continue to place food items in the wooden trunk – no biscuits or cakes please. Suggested items – UHT milk, long-life juice, tinned vegetables, tinned tomatoes, tinned meat and fish, tinned fruit, cartons or tins of custard, baked beans, washing up liquid, dog food, cat food, jars of jam and toiletries.
Anne is pleased to have received one volunteer to join in the Across The Miles group but it would be good to have one or two or more people to provide fresh insight and ideas on how to best use our Overseas Missions Fund. The first new monthly meeting is set for 2.30pm Tuesday 30 January 2018 at Anne Balloch’s home. However, if you are interested but cannot make this day or time, it can easily be changed. For more information speak to Anne, Steve Mac or Caroline.
To minimise disturbances, by the children, during Family Celebration, the doors are locked at 10.45am. Volunteers are needed to supervise at the door to ensure this new policy is adhered to. You will not be expected to do this every Sunday. Please speak to one of the leaders.
